Good question! Trucking companies prefer to deliver to
one type of location, an industrial facility with loading docks and fork
lifts. Any time they are asked to take a semi truck to anything other than
that it is considered L.A. or Limited Access. Trucking companies consider
many types of locations limited access including schools, prisons, golf
courses, country clubs, farms, ranches, airports and even storage
facilities. Home based businesses are no different. We understand you're
accustomed to getting trucks to your home and that you can probably unload
them faster than if they were in an industrial complex. Sadly, it doesn't
matter. If you claim your business is non home based and the carrier arrives
to find a house on the property they will 99.9% of the time charge Redline
for a residential delivery at which point Redline has to obviously relay
that cost to you. The good news is we're great at helping you find alternate
locations to ship to that don't incur extra fees. Give us a call if you have
more questions! Thanks for watching our video.
