I'm restoring a 1936 Desoto Airstream. Will this body cart support the body alone?

This cart has a capacity of 3,000 lbs. While I do not knw the weight of a 1936 Desoto Airstream body, I cannot imagine the body alone is 3,000 lbs. With that said, if you're concerned about the weight of the body, we'd recommend weighing it first before ordering the cart. Our specs say the cart is 'Adjustable width & length from 38' - 65' on either side' so we'd recommend looking underneath your car and making sure these dimensions from the cart will allow you to contact the car at your desired support positions. I am restoring a 55 chevy and 67 firebird, will this cart work on both and if so do I need to purchase any other items with the body cart?????

We cannot imagine it would not fit your 55 & 67 sir. This dolly is very adjustable. With that said, the specs of width and length are posted to our 'specs' tab so you're able to compare your car to our dolly, that way you can be certain it'll reach to your desired support points before ordering. I ordered the #AT-BCC-A body cart and received it two days later. Upon opening the boxes, I found some parts that missed quality control. I sent pictures to Redline's Customer Service and I received a prompt response promising to remedy the issue. The replacement parts were delivered the next day! I am a happy customer! Redline is a top-notch company with outstanding customer service and products! I will be purchasing other products from them in the future. Thank you JKing!
