    Q. Overall size specs seem the same for the NT-9 vs NT-11. Is the only difference the hydraulic rams or is the NT-11 actually thicker and beefier to handle the extra weight? Thanks.
    A. The NT-11 weighs 95 lbs more, so the steel is thicker. Thanks for your question!

    Q. Is it OK to spread apart to gain a few more inches between post’s, if their is some slack
    A. I'm sorry but for reasons of liability we cannot recommend getting creative with the assembly of any car lift. Thanks for your question though.

    Q. Can you tell me how thick are the base plates, also how heavy is the lift cable. Thanks Ed
    A. The base plate is 1/2" thick and the cables are 5/16" diameter. Thanks Ed.

    Q. Tell me if this would work. I am planning on pouring new concrete
under a new lift. I have a low ceiling so I will need the shorter, plate style lift. Would it be possible to pour the concrete with the base plates counter sunk and a trench for the cables and plate to be run in so that the floor could be flush over the plate. I realize that I would loose a couple inches of lift and I am not sure if the arms would contact the concrete when lowered. Thoughts? Thanks
    A. The arms would definitely lower and touch the concrete. You'd have to raise them up a tad so they didn't contact and would pivot. What you are asking can certainly be done, but remember that your minimum thickness of concrete "under the pads" still counts. Thanks Dave!

    Q. I have a lift that looks just like your 11 k post floorplate lift bought it used . I cant find any name or numbers on it can you tall me were to look also what is the width of the post of this lift or are they the same. thank you Matt.
    A. Honestly, you're not likely to find a serial number on it. We recommend downloading the manaul to find installation specs "if" your lift is in fact the NT11. Send us some pictures of it if you want and we'll see if we can help identify it. Thanks Matt!
