The MediaBlast Power Peen is a Direct Pressure Media Blast Cabinet designed for daily operation. It is made of 100% welded 12 and 14-gauge CRS and requires 25 cfm of compressed air to operate. The pressure pot is used to pneumatically push the abrasive media through the blast hose unlike a typical siphon blast machine. It is designed to operate using a foot operated blast control valve with a treadle pedal. It includes a 3/16" boron carbide blast nozzle, inside blow-off gun, abrasive separator reclaimer, and so much more. Order yours today!

    Q. I'm wondering if this unit migth be used to engrave granite, like tombstone, i have a portable preassure pot but i would like to move to a blasting cabinet, i gotta use aluminum oxide 80-100 grit
    A. You can certainly use this machine to blast aluminum oxide, but in terms of whether or not A.O. will etch granite, we have no idea. Sorry I couldn't be of more help Alan.

    Q. I have been looking for a pressure blast cabinet that can handle very fine grit abrasive media. I was looking at the AllSource 42000 Pressure Pot Media Sand Blast Cabinet and was directed to this cabinet with the publicly posted questions. The recommended abrasive size is listed as 24-120. Are there any upgrades that can be made to the cabinet to use 240-grit aluminum oxide?
    A. We asked the manufacturer of the Media Blast and they said, “240 grit is pretty fine and should work with the 4mm nozzle.” If you need a boron 4mm nozzle, you can find them HERE We also asked the same question to the company that makes the 42000 and they said the opposite. They said, "I would not recommend it with that fine of an abrasive. I am worried that it would create a massive dust storm that the dust collectors would not be able to handle. With that fine of an abrasive and the combo of the pressure vessel the customer would need a much better dust collection system, I feel. I do not want to setup your customer for disappointment." Thanks for shopping with us!

    Q. Does the cabinet meets or has any type of certification?
    A. We asked the manufacturer your question and were told, "We would need to know what type of safety certifications is the customer concerned about. While operating this particular unit, there is normally no need for any eye, ear protection, or breathing protection. It is recommended to use breathing protection when replacing the dust collector filters as these will collect very fine dust. The unit does integrate some safety features, such as a door interlock valve that prevents the blast cycle to take place if the door were to be opened. We also offer other options such as an OSHA approved guarded foot pedal and additional hepa filtration that can be added to the base cabinet if required." Thanks for your question Ken!
