Seems OK but understand what you're getting before buying

I recently purchased this unit for a Redline cabinet I bought last year. It seems to be a good unit and is physically identical to at least two other units being sold by other vendors. However, any potential buyer should understand that this is primarily a replacement unit for specific Redline cabinet models that already have a dust collector. It is made to plug into the switch panel of one of those specific Redline cabinet models. What this means is that it comes with a special hooded male electrical connector that requires a special type of outlet. It will NOT plug into a standard electrical outlet and it does NOT have an ON/OFF switch. It also comes with no mounting hardware, no connector hose, and no hose clamps. What you see in the picture is what you get. Period. I didn't expect to have such additional requirements for fitting and cost but shame on me for assuming it was something that it's not.

Q. Will this dust unit fit on the RE28? If not is there one that you would recommend?
A. Is it made to fit that cabinet? No sir. Could it be made to work? Sure. All you'd have to do is figure out how to connect the suction tube from this vacuum to the exiting open port on the RE28. From there, we'd recommend building some sort of internal guard to keep media from flowing directly into that vac tube. Thanks Brian.

Q. Is there something similar to adapt to two motors ?
A. No sir, but to be honest the number of motors is not important. It’s the number of CFM the motor moves that’s important. If you’re looking for serious dust collection power, consider THIS UNIT. It moves a lot more air and works really well. Thanks Cesar!
