Great replacement for my 14-year old Lift Buddy
Aug 7, 2019I purchased the LD1K lift after my 14-year old Lift Buddy motorcycle lift failed. It had been a great lift for my 2003 Yamaha Star, but when the hydraulic cylinder failed to extend I could not find anyone interested in repairing, and Lift Buddy no longer made motorcycle lifts. So, had the old Lift Buddy removed and replaced it with the nearly identically sized Redline Engineering LD1K. Plus, this was an upgrade, because the LD1K offered the option of using air pressure to raise the lift instead of manually pumping. My DeWalt 4.5-gallon home air compressor was able to accomplish that task, although manually pumping up the lift was also not a problem for my 630-pound motorcycle. The LD1K's tire vice was not quite as huge as the tire vice my Lift Buddy had, so agree with Redline's instructions to also use straps. After some experimentation found that strapping via the highway pegs on the engine guards gave rock solid mounting, so it's not a big deal to use straps along with the tire vice. Also appreciate the quick assistance Redline Engineering provided in issues for motor freight delivery to my location; that ended up making the residential, "inside" delivery work out. The LD1K came well packaged in a wooden crate, so also will provide additional firewood after removing the nails and cutting up.

Aug 28, 2023Q. Can this be stowed away vertically to save space when not in use?A. Hmmm. Physically, yes. Hyraulicly, not sure. This pump has a fill-hole in the top side of it. It's possible some of the fluid might escape that hole, despite the rubber plug. Thanks Brad.

May 09, 2023Q. Should this work for a HD 2020 Low Rider S roughly 670 pounds or soA. The weight of the bike will be no issue. Worst case scenario is you might have to use a 2x12 board to help cut-down on the angle of the ramp if your bike is too low to the ground and experiences the frame dragging as it drives up the ramp. Thanks Nelson.

Feb 21, 2023Q. Will this work with a Harley Road glide limited and Indian challengerA. Will it lift that bike? Yes sir. Should you? No sir. According to THIS GOOGLE LINK your Road Glide weighs 932 lbs dry. Please understand that you’ve spent many tens of thousands of dollars on the most expensive and heaviest motorcycles money can buy, but you’re looking at the most light duty lift we sell. We believe you should really consider spending the couple hundred bucks extra and buy a heavy duty lift, such as the Redline HD1K, for your heavy duty motorcycles. Thanks for your question Nick!

Nov 01, 2022Q. Made in the USA?A. No sir. Only HANDY AND HMC lift tables are American made. Please be aware that specifying American made will drive up your price by quite a lot. With that said, we still offer a 1 year warranty on all Redline lifts because we have full confidence in them. Thank you for shopping with us!
